Valero Alamo Bowl selects StatBroadcast StatMonitr

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- The Valero Alamo Bowl and StatBroadcast Systems agreed to terms today to use the StatMonitr media stats system at the 2011 Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio on December 29, 2011.

The Valero Alamo Bowl is in its 19th year. It is played in the Alamodome at San Antonio and will pit the second selection from the Pac 12 against the third selection from the Big 12. The Alamo Bowl has operated continuously since 1993 and has drawn 104 million viewers to its previous 18 games on ESPN.
The Alamo Bowl will be the the 10th bowl game in the 2011-12 bowl season to use StatMonitr technologies, joining the Rose, Fiesta, Sugar, Insight, Holiday, Poinsettia, Armed Forces and TicketCity bowls as well as the BCS National Championship.
