American Athletic Conference and StatBroadcast launch conference-wide live stats platform for 2020-2021
IRVING, TEXAS --
StatBroadcast has reached an agreement with the American Athletic Conference to become the conference and its member institutions' official live stats and media stats provider for the 2020-2021 academic year. This league-wide initiative will provide a real-time simulcast of stats from all 12 members, and associate members, athletic events as well as conference championships throughout the year as well as create a conference stats portal and real-time live scoreboard for following the athletic action across the entire league footprint.
"We're proud to be able to provide a live stats platform to the entire American Athletic Conference, which will create a consistent and uniform live stats experience across all of its campuses this year", said StatBroadcast president Nate Policar. "As well, having an entire conference on board allows us to create unique experiences such as a conference scoreboard and stats portal as well as guarantee the schools live stats coverage of their entire conference slate of games. Our previous experience at launching a conference-wide stats brand has been extremely successful at both the Division-I and Division-II levels and we're looking forward to creating similar value for the AAC through this initiative."
The American Athletic Conference (AAC) is an NCAA Division I FBS athletic conference with 11 member universities and six associate member universities. The 11 members span 10 states stretching from Texas to Pennsylvania and sponsors 22 varsity sports. This year, the conference relocated its headquarters from Providence, RI to Irving, Texas, within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The AAC was formerly known as the original Big East conference from 1979 to 2013 and realigned itself in 2013 when it's non-football members left to form the new Big East Conference. The AAC membership includes UCF, Cincinnati, ECU, Houston, Memphis, USF, SMU, Temple, Tulane, Tulsa and Wichita State; Navy is an associate member for football.
