VIZIO Fiesta Bowl renews agreement with StatBroadcast for tenth year

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. -- The Fiesta Bowl and StatBroadcast Systems announced today that they have renewed their ten-year partnership and StatBroadcast will once again provide statistical technologies and support for the Fiesta Bowl and Cactus Bowl games this year.

StatBroadcast will again provide a real-time feed of the bowl games for media/staff, live stats and mobile stats for fans as well as stats technology infrastructure support on-site at the games.

The Vizio Fiesta Bowl is a member of the College Football Playoff and will serve as an access bowl this year, with the CFP selecting the two participants from the remaining conference champions and ranked teams after seeding the semifinals. The Fiesta Bowl will be played at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on December 31, 2014. The Fiesta Bowl will serve as a CFP semifinal host in 2016.

The Fiesta Bowl also organizes the Cactus Bowl, originally known as the Copper Bowl and formerly as the Insight Bowl and Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. This year's iteration of the Cactus Bowl will take place on Jan. 1, 2015 and will be played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.

As StatBroadcast's flagship client, this will be the company's 11th Fiesta Bowl; the original version of the StatMonitr system was developed for use at the Fiesta Bowl in 2004. Along with the Fiesta Bowl, StatBroadcast will also provide its technologies at College Football Playoff members Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl; StatBroadcast's system will also be used at the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Dallas.
