Providence College selects StatMonitr for 2014-15

PROVIDENCE, RI -- Providence College and StatBroadcast reached agreement today for the school to utilize the StatMonitr media stats system at its home athletic events in 2014-15.

Providence College is a private university located in downtown Providence, Rhode Island. Founded in 1917, Providence enrolls over 3,800 students. The Providence Friars compete at the NCAA Division-I level and are founding members of the Big East Conference and Hockey East; Providence sponsors 19 varsity sports. The Providence men's basketball team has twice made it to the NCAA Final Four (1973 and 1987) and has notched four Elite Eight berths in 16 tournament appearances; Providence won the 2014 Big East Conference Tournament to qualify for the NCAA tournament this past March. Providence's mens ice hockey team has reached the NCAA Frozen Four on three occasions (1964, 1983, 1985) and qualified for the NCAA field in 2014, it's first tournament appearance in 13 years.

Providence is the fifth member of the current Big East Conference to partner with StatBroadcast and is the first from the state of Rhode Island.
