UCLA tabs StatBroadcast Live for 2014-15
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. -- The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and StatBroadcast announced today that the school will use the StatBroadcast Live platform to simulcast its athletic events in 2014-15 to internet and mobile devices. The school will also utilize the StatMonitr media stats system to provide real-time statistical information to media and staff covering the events.
UCLA is a public university located in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles and is a co-flagship university (along with UC Berkeley) of the UC system; founded in 1919, it is the second-oldest university in the UC system. UCLA's current enrollment is over 42,000 students and with 105,000 applications received in Fall 2014, it is the most applied to university in the world. The UCLA Bruins are members of the Pacific-12 Conference of NCAA Division-I FBS and compete in 22 varsity sports. With 134 team national championships and 111 NCAA team championships to its credit, UCLA is the most decorated athletic program in NCAA history.
The UCLA men's basketball team is the most successful program in the history of the sport. The Bruins have captured an NCAA-record 11 national championships including a record seven consecutive titles between 1967 and 1973. They have made a record 12 NCAA title game appearances and have notched a record 25 Final Four wins. They spent a record 221 consecutive weeks ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll between 1966 and 1980 and posted a record 38-game NCAA Tournament winning stream between 1964 and 1974. They have finished the season undefeated a record four times (1964, 1967, 1972, 1973) and have the longest winning streak in men's basketball history, winning 88 consecutive games between 1971 and 1974.
UCLA is the 15th university from the State of California to partner with StatBroadcast and the tenth member of the Pac-12 Conference.
