University of Pittsburgh selects StatMonitr for remainder of 2013-14
PITTSBURGH, PENN. -- The University of Pittsburgh and StatBroadcast Systems announced today that the university will use the StatMonitr media stats system for its remaining on-campus athletic events in the 2013-14 school year.
The University of Pittsburgh, better known as Pitt, is a public research university in and is a member of Pennsylvania’s Commonwealth System of Higher Education. Founded in 1787, Pitt was a private institution for a large portion of its history, up until becoming a state-related institution in 1966; Pitt’s current enrollment is more than 28,500 students. The Pitt Panthers compete at the NCAA Division I FBS level as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference in 19 varsity sports. The Pitt athletic program is one of only a few current NCAA Division I FBS schools to have won multiple undisputed national championships in both football (nine) and men’s basketball (two). Pitt is the tenth member of the ACC to partner with StatBroadcast.
