Texas A&M University tabs StatMonitr and StatBroadcast Mobile in 2013-14
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS -- Texas A&M University and StatBroadast Systems announced today that the school will use the StatMonitr media stats system for its athletic events during the 2013-14 school year. The school will also utilize the StatBroadcast Mobile system to provide its fans with a mobile web app for accessing real-time stats from mobile devices and smart phones.
Texas A&M University is a public university located in College Station, Texas and is the flagship of the Texas A&M University System (which includes current StatBroadcast partner Tarleton State University). Texas A&M has a current enrollment of more than 53,000, making it the largest university in the state of Texas and the seventh largest in the nation. Founded in 1876, it was the first public institution of higher education in Texas. The Texas A&M Aggies are members of NCAA Division I's Southeastern Conference and field 20 varsity teams. The Aggies football team is entering their 119th season of competition, during which they have earned three national titles, 20 conference titles and fielded two Heisman trophy winners. The Aggies baseball team has also had success on the field, winning 19 regular season conference championships, five conference tournament championships and making five appearances in the Men's College World Series, most recently in 2011.
Texas A&M is the eleventh member of the sixteen member Southeastern Conference to partner with StatBroadcast and is the tenth university from the state of Texas to partner with StatBroadcast, more than any other state in the union.
