Bellevue University to use StatBroadcast Live in 2013-14

BELLEVUE, NEB. -- Bellevue University and StatBroadcast Systems announced today that the university will use the StatBroadcast Live platform to simulcast live stats from its athletic events during the 2013-14 academic year beginning in August 2013. Bellevue is the first NAIA school to partner with StatBroadcast.

Bellevue University is a private university located in Bellevue, Nebraska, founded in 1966, wiht a current enrollment of 8,300. The Bellevue Bruins compete as part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarly as members of hte Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference. They sponsor 8 varsity sports; the men's baseball squad has won 13 MCAC conference championships and made it to the NAIA World Series 12 times, winning the National Championship in 1995. The men's basketball team has qualified for the NAIA tournament in 11 straight seasons, appearing in the NAIA Final Four in 2004, 2008 and 2010, twice finishing as the national runner-up.

Bellevue University is the first NAIA member to use StatBroadcast as its provider for live stats or media stats. The NAIA is a athletics association that organizes collegiage athletic programs for its more than 250 members, consisting primarily of smaller colleges and universities located throughout the United States. Founded in 1940, the NAIA sponsors 13 sports, including two divisions of men's and women's basketball, and conducts 23 annual national championships.
