San Diego State selects BCS Stats Systems as its live stats and stat monitor provider for 2010-2011
SAN DIEGO, CALIF. -- San Diego State University has reached terms on an agreement with BCS Stats Systems to provide statistical
support services for the 2010-2011 season. BCS Stats will provide its StatMonitr wireless screens and web service for
all SDSU football, basketball, baseball and softball home games this year as well as its StatBroadcast Web service for the preceeding sports as well as volleyball and soccer.
"San Diego State is a strong institution with a history of athletic tradition, and we couldn't be happier to be working with them this year," said BCS Stats president Nate Policar. "As an FBS school in a major media market, we're pleased to not only be able to offer them a solution for the broadcasters and media members who cover their events, but also for their dedicated fans who want to follow the outcomes of their teams' games live."
Added Policar, "One of our central missions is to help schools in non-'BCS' conferences compete despite the inequity of revenues and department budgets, so helping SDSU continue to reach its fans via live stats was important to us."
BCS Stats will be providing live stat feeds for all SDSU home events live on the university's athletic website at GoAztecs.com. San Diego State has an enrollment of 35,887 and competes as a member of the Mountain West Conference. Their home football games' are played at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium, the home of the NFL's Chargers and the site of the Poinsettia and Holiday Bowls, while their on-campus baseball field, Tony Gwynn Stadium, serves as the site of the Mountain West Conference Baseball Tournament. BCS Stats is also an official partner of the Mountain West Conference, providing its StatMonitr service and equipment at the MWC Basketball Tournaments held in Las Vegas, Nev.
