University of Washington selects StatMonitr for 2012-13

SEATTLE, WASH. -- The University of Washington and StatBroadcast Systems reached agreement today to use the StatMonitr media stats system for all remaining home athletic events during the 2012-13 school year.

The University of Washington is a public university located in Seattle, Washington an is the largest university in the state with an enrollment of 42,907. Founded in 1861, it is one of the oldest schools on the West Coast and is consistently among the top 25 of university rankings. The Washington Huskies compete at the Division-I level as a member of the Pac-12 Conference and sponsor 19 varsity sports. The Husky football team has claimed a national championship on four occasions (most recently in 1991), won 15 Pac-8/10/12 titles and have appeared in 31 bowl games. The Washington men's basketball team has won 11 Pac-12 regular season titles, including last season's, and three tournament championships; they have reached the Sweet 16 five times and the Final Four once. The Huskies softball team has also had much success, making ten appearances in the WCWS, advancing to the championship series on three occasions and capturing the national crown in 2009.

UW is the fourth Pac-12 team to partner with StatBroadcast, joining Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah, and is the third university from the state of Washington, along with Gonzaga and Eastern Washington. The Pac-12 Conference also partners with StatBroadcast for its basketball tournaments in March.
